It's a really a bad time to come here this time around as there's a typhoon going on. Is not a huge one, only enough to have you soaking wet even if you have an umbrella on top of my head. I really think Taipei is a really nice city to live in. I just wished that more people speak English in this city.

I am having trouble to find something to eat here. As most restaurants only have chinese characters on their menus. So my only choices are either international franchise places or the ones with the dummies (like you would find in Japanese restaurants). Taiwanes as other Chinese countries love their pork, they have them in most of their dishes (I don't eat pork FYI) So it's an extra trouble for me.

It's almost 1 o'clock.. I'll write some more tomorrow as I explore more of Taiwan :)

Till then,

RHZ

Finally found the one!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Wn0-UDc1OWs/Sfl4cgrsgJI/AAAAAAAAAAw/vIixVBkfjgk/s320/DSC_0379.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330424065174569106" />
Wow, I thought stories like these do not happen in real life, but it did for me :) I met her through a radio show (Sometime in Jan '08)which i hear every single morning on my way to work. She was a guest star in that show, where she was advertising, what used to be her company, where she and her friends designed websites for their customer. A group of friends and I was actually planning to open up a business online, and I said.. hey.. this is perfect. So I contacted her to have a meeting with us.

It was love at a first sight really. I told one of my friends after she left that she's really my type. She's the one that i've been looking for.

We never created the business we wanted, and i thought i would never see her for the rest of my life. Until one day, aproximately 6 months later... a friend invited me for lunch with her dad, and there she was. She was also invited. The same day, we started chatting online, but i knew it would not worked out, as both of us were occupied back then.

The intensive chats dissapeared, I was busy with work and was traveling quite heavily. So i lost contact with her. One day in November '08, the same friend opened up a cafe. She msg me on Facebook and asked if I wanted to go together. So we did :)

I thought to myself, well this is my chance, we're both single so I offered her to drive her to the next meeting! Man.... traffic was really bad, i almost had no more subject to talk to... Thanks to the same radio. the silence was broken (Thank you Hard Rock FM) :)

We send intensive SMS to eachother afterwards. and 2 days later (a Saturday) I asked her to go out with me, thanks to a suggestion from a friend, and Thank God she said yes :)

Long story short.. we decided to become an item the following Thursday (Nov 28th), 4 months later we're engaged :) Attached is my engagement picture. I feel so blessed that I finally found the one. The one whom I love, hopefully for the rest of my life.

We're getting married in December. Wish me luck.. As a guy who originated from a tropical country, I always enjoy vacationing to a cold weather. This time I chose Denver, Elevation 5280 feet above sea level.It was defintely harder to breath in this elevation. I found Denver as something "different". It was a quiet city, downtown was dead during lunch hours, at least the days that I was there. Puti's (our host) excuse was because of the winter season, so people stayed indoors. But seriously, it was dead =)

Besides "lacking of people" we had a wonderful time over there. I specifically enjoyed the Red Rocks located just outside Denver. Amazing Amphitheatre, that is worth for you to visit if you ever in the Denver area. Another interesting place you should visit is a little town called Boulder. It's the home of University of Colorado. It's also a hippie town, you can tell with a lot of Tibetian & Himalayan stores and restaurants in town. Oh yes... I tried Buffallo an Rabbit while I was there.

San Diego!

What could I say about Sunny San Diego, A Place that I'm proud to call home for the last 6 years. It's America's Finest City. The Weather is just perfect all year round. It's the home of the World's Famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World & also Lego Land among other interesting spots you could visit in San Diego. You also would not want to miss the Coronado Island, Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter & La Jolla while in town. Make sure you rent a car though, as public transportation is not really reliable in this city.
